Bulgaria

Hello and welcome!

We're one of the country's oldest universities, and we've come a long way in our 90 years. The University of Hull is a vibrant institution – a blend of English tradition and cutting-edge technology.

96% of our graduates progress into work or further study within six months of completing their studies.

We nurture communities and we put our students (drawn from more than 100 countries) at the heart of everything we do.

Find out what qualifications you need to apply to study with us. Learn more about paying fees and discover where you can meet us in your country.

Entry requirements

  • Undergraduate

We're currently confirming our 2018 undergraduate entry requirements and will publish them soon.

In the meantime, please get in touch by emailing global@hull.ac.uk or call +44 (0)1482 462190.

Don't quite meet the requirements? Don't worry - we review every application on an individual basis. Email global@hull.ac.uk to find out more. You may also be interested in our degree preparation course, ONCAMPUS.

  • Postgraduate Taught

The majority of our taught Masters programmes require that you hold a qualification equivalent to a lower second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.2). Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.

We generally consider Бакалавър or Професионален бакалавър awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in Bulgaria after 2002 to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree.

    Lower second-class (2.2) equivalent
Overall grade 4 out of 6

    Upper second-class (2.1) equivalent
Overall grade 5 out of 6

Диплома за Заваршено Висше Образование may also provide entry onto our Master programme.

Don't quite meet the requirements? Don't worry - we review every application on an individual basis. Email global@hull.ac.uk.

  • Postgraduate Research

Check course listings for specific entry requirements. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Remember, we judge each application on an individual basis.

If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level. Find out more.

"I studied fewer subjects in much greater depth, and it was the most exciting year of my life. My English language improved very rapidly; I met people from all over the world; and I learned and did things I had never done before."

Bulgaria - Ilina Ivancheva

"I studied psychology of music, composition, performance (singing) and Italian language during the final year of my undergraduate degree in Hull. The experience was completely different from the one I had in Bulgaria - I studied fewer subjects in much greater depth, and it was the most exciting year of my life. My English language improved very rapidly; I met people from all over the world; and I learned and did things I had never done before.

"Following my undergraduate degree I enrolled straight onto a Master’s degree in music (MMus), conducting a study on wellbeing for singers and writing a dissertation of almost 20,000 words. My supervisor was very supportive throughout the process, providing me with constructive feedback. My department also supported me and sent me to several conferences."
