Study abroad modules

Study abroad modules

The opportunities are endless. From chemistry, computer science and criminology to music, mechanical engineering and marine biology ... whatever your subject, we have modules to inspire you.

Choose your modules

View our degree courses for a flavour of what modules are included in our degrees.

You will study three modules per semester. We also ask you to choose extra ones, in case some of your selections aren't available.

Module exceptions

  • Psychology or Law modules are only available where a direct agreement exists between your department within your university and the University of Hull.
  • Certain Social Work and Youth and Community Development modules are unavailable due to DBS checks required (working with vulnerable people/children).
  • Unfortunately we do not offer exchange opportunities on our Medicine programmes.

Credits for modules

You should take 60 credits per semester. This usually equates to 3 modules, although there are some language courses that are only 10 credits. The total number of credits you should take are:

  • Full year: 120 credits (equivalent to 60 ECTS credits)
  • One semester: 60 credits (equivalent to 30 ECTS credits)
