"Working for Ann is a unique opportunity to experience events both within Parliament and the media world - all of which I would have no hesitation whatever of reliving."

Helen Gibson, BPLS Intern to Ed Miliband MP, 2006/07
"I had an incredible time in Westminster, I feel I learnt so much just by being there and assimilating a lot about Westminster into my system! I would recommend going on a few of the induction courses at Millbank to enable you to meet other people as opposed to just your course mates, use your time to meet people, go to functions, enjoy yourself and use the House of Commons library to research for your dissertation. Your year in Westminster should be the best one of your degree so make the most of it, stand up for yourself and learn a lot from your MP."

John Thompson, BPLS Intern to Ann Widdecombe MP, 2005/06
"I was amazed how much responsibility I was given. I am Ann's only researcher and a lot of the work falls to me, but it is great fun!"

Richard Kendall, BPLS Intern to Austin Mitchell MP, 2005/06
"Expect hard work and more than a little chaos, but don't expect to be making the tea!"

Chloé Walker, One Semester Intern to Tony Baldry MP, 2005/06
"An internship is a truly unique experience; it's highly rewarding and very enjoyable".

Louise Cobb, BPLS Intern to Ed Balls MP, 2005/06
"My placement with has far exceeded my expectations. I was worried about starting work in Parliament, but I've found it to be a very relaxed environment and Ed is fantastic to work for. I've been given far more responsibility than I ever expected, even running the office for a while when a member of staff left and it has really increased my confidence in myself".

Simon Kimber, BPLS Intern to The Rt. Hon. Bruce George MP, 2005/06
"I've had a great time working in Westminster so far. The work is always very varied and never dull. I've had the opportunity to work on a wide range of topics from local constituency problems to national and even international issues. I'm even getting the chance to visit Vienna as part of my job!"

Richard Speight, BPLS Intern to The Rt Hon. Chris Smith MP, 2002/03
"As a Hull intern at Westminster you get the chance to witness historic events unfold in front of your eyes and even play a part in the action".
