Innovative learning environment

At the heart of the campus, is the iconic new five-storey Allam Medical Building which provides an innovative and practical environment in which to train the doctors, nurses, midwives and healthcare workers that meet the needs of patients, communities and the NHS.

It provides an unrivalled teaching environment in which medical and healthcare students will study alongside each other, preparing them for their future careers working together.

Our researchers are helping to address critical health issues in the local region and beyond, and their work will be enhanced by the great new collaborative environment and workplace provided by our Health Campus.

A £5-million research programme in partnership with Yorkshire Cancer Research to tackle cancer inequalities in the region.
