Bernie has been working at the University for 25 years. He is currently working to reinstate the BSc Global Health and Humanitarian degree and has a long standing interest in humanitarian aid and in parasitology.

He is also one of the core teaching team for the Non-Medical Prescribing programme, the University Certificate and Associate Practitioner programmes and leads the Life and Social Sciences module in the first year of the Nursing Degree. Bernie’s background is in physiology and parasitology and continues to cover a wide variety of physiology and pathology topics at pre- and post-registration level.
