Greg Vasilopoulos joined the Energy and Environment Institute in 2017 as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant focusing on the flood risk of the Mekong Delta.

He gained a BSc in Geology from the University of Athens in 2011, and an MSc in GIS & RS for Environmental Modelling and Management from the universities of Twente and Southampton in 2013.

Greg went on to complete a PhD in Physical Geography at the University of Southampton in 2017.

His PhD research focused on combining high resolution TLS technology and flume experiments to characterise the structure, deformation and fluvial drag of floodplain vegetation.
