  • Sport Rehabilitation

    This programme, accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers, combines hands-on experience and classroom theory.

  • Sports Coaching and Performance Science

    Expert coaches teach students to apply theory to real-life coaching in this course which earned a mark of excellence from Skills Active and Sports Coach UK

Postgraduate Taught

  • MSc in Cancer Rehabilitation

    This programme provides postgraduate training and education for current healthcare professionals, or those aspiring to work in this rapidly evolving field.

  • MSc in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation

    Developed with the British Association of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, this MSc is for existing and potential healthcare professionals.

  • MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology

Careers include sport rehabilitation, personal training, physical education, physiotherapy, coaching, weight management and performance analysis in settings including schools, gyms, sports clubs and hospitals.

Our graduates have gone onto careers with top professional clubs including Arsenal, Manchester City, Hull City and Hull KR, as well as with the Aspetar orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital in Qatar.

Research within the School of Life Sciences falls within four main groups which reflect the interests and expertise of our world-leading expert staff. Our undergraduate students' research is also showcased in our Student Thesis Conference which is an annual highlight for our students and a great opportunity for them to develop their confidence and presentation skills.
