Use your @hull address for work, not personal email

The latest ICT Regulations state that use of your University email account for personal use is discouraged.

What does this mean for me?

If your University email address is still associated with shopping, utilities or other personal sites, it’s time to start using a personal email account for these. Modern email programs and apps handle multiple accounts seamlessly. The main benefit for you is increased privacy. The University may need to access your University account in certain circumstances and we are also notified when @hull address are involved in breaches of external sites. We will then contact you, providing details of the nature of the site and any personal, sometimes sensitive, information involved in the breach. Risks to the University are also reduced, with ransomware delivered via a bogus gas bill a recent example of the threats.

Who can I contact?
