University of Hull Scholarship

What is it for?

To help those least able to afford any remaining up-front costs.

In order to be eligible for the University of Hull Scholarhip, students will need to register for a full three or four-year degree programme. Registration for partial awards will make students in-eligible for the Scholarship.

How much can I get?

This is a non-repayable award of £3,000 given every year for a total of three years. This scholarship is awarded to those with an annual  residual household household income of less than £25,000 who have achieved results of AAB or higher in three A-Levels (not including General Studies), or equivalent.

A £1,500 tuition fee waiver reduces your fees to £7,500. You can use the remainder for:

  • University residence fees discount
  • Learning resources e.g. textbooks, ICT resources
  • Cash - to help with other study expenses (£1,000 maximum)
  • A further fee waiver

How do I apply?

You will be automatically considered for this Scholarship and do not need to apply directly to the University, as long as the 'consent to share' box on your Student Finance England (SFE) application form is ticked.

Please note: Contact SFE directly on 0845 300 50 90 if you have unticked this box in error.

What happens next?

You will receive a letter from the University to confirm the details of your award.
