From day one, you will apply this theoretical knowledge to real-life systems, constructing complex robotic and autonomous systems. And, while the demand for expertise in this field is booming, the UK lacks sufficient numbers of qualified people. Mechatronics and robotics combines electronics and electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computing. As an integrated school of Engineering and Computer Science, we offer you a multidisciplinary experience, allowing you to develop a holistic view of engineering required by industry. We place a strong emphasis on learning by doing and problem-based learning. You’ll have access to a new Robotics Lab and Fab Lab – a purpose built maker space with 3D printers, laser scanners, laser cutters and CNC to digitally manufacture models and prototypes.
