About the course

Social Enterprise and Creative Care provides the skills, knowledge and experience to work in a range of professional settings with young people, adults, families and communities. You can expect to study the following key topics:

  • foundation for academic and professional practice;
  • key elements of contemporary social policy, sociology and psychology;
  • fundamental principles of professional practice;
  • the organisation of human welfare and wellbeing;
  • awareness of and engagement in the creative potentials of individuals and communities.

You'll have the opportunity to undertake work-based learning in your final year of study. And you'll gain what will become a well-regarded qualification with robust practice experience.

This is an interdisciplinary degree which draws on three principal academic areas - social policy, sociology and psychology.

If you require a Tier 4 student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level.

Future prospects

The programme focuses on developing your sense of yourself as a social entrepreneurs.

We anticipate that our students would aspire to developing and running their own social enterprise. In addition, the programme equips you for a range of health and social care career opportunities.
