Network Drives
Your G: drive is the best place to store your
personal University work. It is backed up several times a
day, meaning that it is possible to use a University PC to
recover corrupt or accidentally deleted documents.
You will automatically have access to
the G: drive when you login to any open access PC on campus. The
documents below contain instructions on how to access your G: drive
from your own computer in student houses and halls, over the
wireless network and using a broadband connection when off
campus. These documents also contain information on connecting
to the M, U, X and Z drives.
Update: If you mapped to a Z drive, prior to
13th March 2013, you will need to make a change to your settings.
On a Windows PC, right click the drive, select disconnect and then
follow the instructions to re-map. On a Mac, remove the underscore
from the server address before you connect to the
drive.
