Short loan

Short Loan is situated on the ground floor of the Brynmor Jones Library. Requests for material should be made at the Library Help Desk. Short Loan consists mainly of heavily used undergraduate textbooks and copies of journal articles (called Xeroxes). The aim of Short Loan is to give wider access to material in heavy demand, therefore all items are issued up to 24 hours.

Short Loan Bookings
You may book short loan items for a specific date and time so that you can plan your work in advance. You may have 4 bookings at any one time, but only one booking per title.

Electronic Short Loan
The Library Service has digitised some of the most popular items from the Short Loan Xerox collection. They can be viewed on screen, printed or temporarily held on disc by any member of the University. The electronic short loan collection can be accessed via the University Portal. URL links to individual electronic items are also available via the library catalogue.

You may return Short Loan items via the Self Service machines.

During Vacations:

Opening hours vary. Please see leaflets or ask a member of staff.
