Robert supports the commercialisation of
University research. This includes identification and
commercial evaluation of innovation, protection of IPR,
filing patent applications and development of commercial
partnerships. Robert also seeks external funding to
support innovation and can offer general advice in relation to
IPR and commercialisation.

Jeev supports the commercialisation of
inventions arising from University research. This includes
assessing new inventions for protectable IP, filing patent
applications and exploring avenues for commercialisation.

Paula is responsible for developing, managing and promoting
enterprise and entrepreneurship activities across the University.
Supporting enterprise skills for student employability and leading
on the development of extra-curricular student enterprise support.
Paula manages the Universities Enterprise Centre, including the
associated business support services available to tenants,
students, graduates, staff and anyone looking to start a business.
Working externally with partner organisations and business
networks to support the creation and growth of new business
start-ups.

Liz manages the Graduate Entrepreneurship Project in Hull,
which along with Yorkshire's other Higher Education
Instituitions aims to help students and graduates achieve their
entrepreneurial goals of turning their enterprising ideas into
reality by providing expert advice and help in starting a
business. The project includes opportunities to access
grants, start-up business events and workshops, mentoring support
and advice. The Graduate Entrepreneurship Project is
part-funded by the European Regional Development
Fund under the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF programme
2007-13.

Samantha is responsible for business engagement
and builds relationships with organisations wishing
to access the University's research expertise, whilst managing
an existing multi-disciplinary portfolio of major client
accounts. With experience in developing and managing complex
projects, business challenges can be met with a fresh perspective
and with a view to positively affecting the bottom-line. Samantha
also has responsibility for strategic business-to-business
marketing and driving forward new and improved business
services.

Gill supports the University in identifying and securing a range
of external funding in pursuit of the University’s knowledge
transfer, commercialisation and enterprise agendas. Whilst
Gill focuses particularly on projects that will develop the
University’s engagement with businesses to maximise our
contribution to development of the sub-regional economy, other
aspects of knowledge transfer, for example public engagement
activities, are also promoted.
