Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management

This three-day training programme is designed for graduates, team leaders, trainee and junior managers who are relatively new to a logistics, supply chain or procurement role.

You will learn skills including how to:

 - match supply with demand

 - manage supply and procurement, transportation and warehouse operations

 - measure logistics costs and performance

 - improve supply chain relationship management

 - maximise on-shelf availability

 - enhance performance through the outsourcing of logistics operations

The Impact of Product Design on Lean Manufacturing

The Department of Engineering will be running a one day course on the impact of product design on lean manufacturing.

This course focuses on design process starting from conceptual design and its relationship to lean manufacturing in terms of the customer's expectations and the users needs. Suitable for all practitioners in this field as an introduction to Lean.

The course is 60% subsidised by ECIF funding making the cost per delegate £100 for a limited time.
