Social Media Training

"More than two-thirds of people in the UK now use social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, making them one of the best ways for businesses to communicate with their customers.”

iHull- the University of Hull Institute for Creativity and Innovation is launching its 60% discounted social media training programme which run until 14th October.

Courses cover LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other social media activities such as podcasting, creating a video for your business and blogging with Word Press. There is also a course for developing a social media strategy that will achieve results for your company.

These courses have been developed for entrepreneurs, self-employed, SMEs, organisations and third sector organisations, to enable them to maximise the potential of social media for their business to build relationships, to gain business, access information and share success stories and work.

Courses are being delivered at the University of Hull and at the Creative Enterprise Laboratory (CEL), an exciting new initiative to help new and exisiting businesses in the Scarborough region

Enterprise Skills Course

A unique course in the Humber region designed to help make you a more enterprising person.   The course is taught over six sessions, face-to-face teaching and you will participate in workshop style sessions. The course has been designed to foster the development of a range of skills to help make participants more enterprising people whether they work for a company, the public sector, or are self-employed.  The course is ideally suited for anyone:

  • who wants to become more enterprising within their existing job role
  • who is looking for promotion within their job and is seeking new skills and knowledge
  • threatened with or facing redundancy and need to develop new skills and knowledge
  • considering becoming self-employed and setting up their own business
  • who is already self employed and wants to improve their skills and grow their business.
