As a member of a University Committee you will
be expected to take an active role in the work of that body.
The Code of Practice for Committee Members is presented as a
starting point for new and existing members of Committees.
Additional information and relevant documents are also available. Any specific
questions concerning your committee should be addressed to the
chair or secretary of the Committee.
The role of the Chair is pivotal in ensuring
that meetings operate both effectively and efficiently. Careful
preparation is required to achieve this as well as awareness of how
