Maritime Historical Studies Centre

The MHSC undertakes research into the interaction of human societies and the marine environment - the relationship that lies at the heart of maritime historical studies. This research effort entails:

Research: the MHSC's research effort includes collaborative projects, PhD studies and publications

Learning and Teaching: the MHSC provides maritime history modules and programmes of study that form part of the History Department's learning and teaching provision

Outreach: based at Blaydes House in Hull's "Old Town", the MHSC forges links between the University and the wider community
