Andrew Marvell Centre

The Andrew Marvell Centre was established in 2008 to facilitate interdisciplinary research and teaching in the Medieval and Early Modern periods. Named after the great lyric poet and champion of religious toleration, who became MP for Hull in 1659, the Centre offers postgraduates the opportunity to cross disciplinary and period boundaries and, also, to specialize in subject and period if they wish. The Andrew Marvell Centre brings together academics from English, History, Music, Drama, History of Art, French and Theology and offers an exciting and innovative taught MA.
