Single Honours

BA Film Studies

This is an exciting time for Film Studies at the University of Hull. In 2007 we launched a Single Honours degree in Film (in addition to our twelve well-established Joint Degrees).  Hull's Joint Degree programmes have been running since 2002. Prior to that, we taught long-established modules on British, American and European film on other degree programmes - indeed, our new degree programmes were created in response to the enthusiasm of the students on those modules who wished they could have devoted more time to Film Studies. Therefore, new students have access to all of the resources which they would expect from an established programme.

The range of modules offered by Film Studies is listed in the module catalogue.  Most modules are analytical and theoretical in scope, but a small number of 2nd and 3rd year modules include some practical element.
