Postgraduate Study
In the last few years, Philosophy at Hull has built up a
flourishing graduate school. There is a lively philosophical
community, in which postgraduate students play a crucial role. In
addition to students keeping their supervisors up to scratch on
current research, postgraduate seminars, reading groups and
informal networking, make an important contribution to the
intellectual life of the department.
All our graduate programmes may be taken full-time or
part-time.

Library facilities at Hull are especially favourable to research
and study in philosophy. There is a purpose built Graduate
School. This provides computers, study space, seminar rooms,
administrative staff, and research training. The facilities are
available 24 hours. The Brynmor Jones Library is one of the
six largest libraries in the UK, with nearly one million holdings
and excellent electronic resources.
