Teaching and research supervision is available in the main areas of theology, and there are active programmes of research and publication, especially in biblical studies and church history.

Committed to the highest standards of scholarship, the department has nonetheless continually demonstrated that theology - of all subjects - cannot be divorced from the practical needs of our society.
