Profile
Martin Parry graduated from Leicester University and was a
solicitor in Hull before moving to the University where he is now
an Emeritus Reader in Law. Martin previously taught on the Family
Law modules in the School. He currently convenes the Private
International Family Law module and lectures on Child Protection on
the Family Protection module.
Positions held outside the University are Senior Associate Hospital
Manager (Mental Health Act 1983), Humber NHS Foundation Trust and
Academic Member, Designated Family Judge's Forum & Humber
Family Justice Council and Editor of Interdisciplinary Updater.

Research Interests
Martin Parry researches mainly into family law. Within that field
his research and published work currently concentrate upon child
law in particular as joint author of Butterworths Family Law
Service, Volume 3, Children. He has previously also researched
and published a book on the law relating to cohabitation.
