Teaching facilities
The Department of Modern Languages has excellent facilities in
terms of dedicated language teaching rooms. There are eight main
teaching rooms, all equipped with a computer and projector,
video-players, DVD-players and a visualiser, and several
have interactive whiteboards.
Currently, five of these rooms have analogue (cassette-based)
language labs while there are two rooms for computer-based
teaching, including the latest digital Melissi labs. One of the
rooms functions as an interpreting suite, with 8 working booths.
There is also a further dedicated room for our MA students.
All this means that, as students, you can benefit from
innovative approaches to language learning, making full use of the
latest technology where appropriate.
