The Centre's Aims and Objectives

The aim of the Centre for British Politics (CBP) is to combine the research specialisms of Lord Norton, Simon Lee and Matt Beech. Its objectives are to conduct high quality research into aspects of British politics especially, parties, policies and ideologies and to reinforce the tradition of teaching and research in the area of British Politics that the Department of Politics and International Studies has had for over thirty years.

The establishment of a specific centre for the study of British Politics adds profile to the Department's existing provision in the area. In particular, the CBP complements the BA in British Politics and Legislative Studies.
