Diploma in Community and Youth Work 'Top Up' to Degree
This is an ideal opportunity for any students whom have
completed the Diploma in Community and Youth Work to gain a
Degree in Community and Youth Work which is both academically
recognised and professional nationally recognised qualification
validated by the National Youth Agency (NYA).
Degree Stage (Level 6)
- Ethics and Values in Community and Youth Work
- Managing Interagency Working and Organisational Change
- Youth Work and Youth Justice
- Professional Practice Placement Three
The teaching and assessment methods for these modules varies
between: lectures, group discussions and activities together with a
practice placement. There are no formal examinations.
Duration, Attendance and Location
The Diploma in Community and Youth Work Studies (Top Up) to
Degree programme runs over one and a half years part -time,
with compulsory university attendance of one evening per week
and eight saturday schools over the course of one year, the
remaining six months will be a Professional Practice Placement,
which may be held in the students current workplace if applicable.
All classes are held at the University of Hull's main campus on
Cottingham Road, Hull.
This programme starts in Late September 2011.
