The Department
of Social Sciences has a reputation for world class, innovative
research in all of its areas; anthropology, criminology, social
policy, sociology, social work and social justice. The research
interests of staff cover wide areas, exploring themes from the
local to the global.
Research Centres
We have a number of research centres located in the Department
of Social Sciences as well as being involved in further centres and
research networks across and without the University.
Research Seminars
The lively research culture of the Department
is experienced by staff and postgraduates alike, and we host
weekly research seminars by guest speakers from all over the
world.
