MBA student wins place on top international programme
Jade Mak, an MBA student at the business school, has beaten
international competition to become one of only 25 students
globally to win a placement on a celebrated programme at Copenhagen
Business School (CBS).
Jade will participate in the Internship in International
Entrepreneurship at CBS, and has also been awarded a scholarship to
assist with her living expenses. The prestigious programme is one
of only a few in Denmark to have been granted elite status by the
Danish Ministry of Science and as such attracts international
attention from applicants and employers.
Taking place from September 2009 for four months, the programme
includes three weeks of intensive classes followed by working in
selected high technology start-up companies. It will also include
exams, a company-based consultancy project and an oral defence on
the project report.
Originally from Hong Kong, 27-year old Jade chose to do her MBA
at Hull University Business School as she wanted to pursue a career
in business consultancy. The CBS programme will put her ahead of
the crowd when it comes to finding a job in the future.
She says, 'I am very excited about this opportunity. I will be
confronted with real-life issues affecting businesses, and have the
opportunity to combine academic theories with practical application
to help facilitate real changes.
'The programme is one of the best in the world and I am very
excited to be involved.'
