It brings together a diverse and wide range of theoretical perspectives and outlooks and includes academics from a range of disciplines including Education, Computer Science and Arts and Media. The group is interested in investigating the relationship between technological affordances and the impact on learning and teaching across all phases of the educational spectrum. Members of the group have successfully obtained a number of research grants from national and international funding bodies and the UK Research Councils. The group has strong links with several external agencies and stakeholders including universities overseas, the Yorkshire and Humber Grid for Learning (YHGfL), schools and local authorities across the region. The work of such organisations is used to inform the research of the group. The group is advised by members external to the University on the selection of projects and development of community impact.
