Brynmor Jones Library Redevelopment

Following its £28 million redevelopment, completed early in 2015, the Brynmor Jones Library is now a state-of-the-art place of learning for generations to come.

Bring your online life with you. Our high-speed wireless network will let you use your mobile device wherever you go in the BJL. We have 350 open access PCs, 48 borrowable laptops, multifunction printers, scanners and photocopiers, and self-service issuing facilities in all area. Do what you need to do, wherever you are in the building.

Teaching and learning spaces are modern and flexible. Silent study? Innovative teaching? Group projects? However you would like to work, there is a space for you, with access to all our print and digital collections. There are 29 bookable group study rooms, multiple spaces for groups to work together informally, and plenty of quiet and silent space.

The BJL is a place for studying and more. Meet friends for coffee in the cafeteria, take in an exhibition or catch the stunning view from the seventh floor. The open ground floor with our Art Gallery and Exhibition Hall is a welcoming place for everyone on campus and also the general public.
