Are you interested in gaining some
volunteering experience that fits in around your studies? Then look
no further than the Brynmor Jones Library, based right at the heart
of the University campus. As one of our volunteers you will have
the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of activities to
suit your development. Activities can include: dealing with
customer queries, workshop facilitation, book shelving and
providing feedback on library services and resources.
No previous experience is required, we only
ask that you are enthusiastic, reliable and willing to try new
things! If you volunteer with us you will be provided with thorough
training to ensure that you develop new skills and are supported to
fulfil the role. With the vast range of experiences on offer, you
will have tons of experience to apply for a Hull Employability
Award (which we strongly encourage you to apply for and will
support you with).

PASS is an established initiative within the University,
supported by the Skills Team and academic departments. PASS
involves higher year student volunteers working in pairs with small
groups of first year students in weekly timetabled sessions. We are
currently running PASS in six subject areas: Biology, Business,
Politics and International Relations, Geography, Geology and
Psychology and hope to expand to more in coming years.
We have finished recruiting for the 2016/17 academic year but if
you are interested in getting involved in future years, please
