Scholarships
available for PhD
students

The University is offering 80 full-time scholarships for PhD
students across a range of disciplines.
Forty scholarships will be available for UK/EU students and
40 for international students. Applications are invited from
high-quality candidates with first class or 2:1 honours
degrees.
A total of £1m will be invested in the
programme each year, with each PhD scholarship covering tuition
fees as well as conference attendance.
Areas of study are available across the
University in the Business School, Faculty of Arts and Social
Sciences, Faculty of Health and Social Care, Hull-York Medical
School, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, and the
Postgraduate Medical Institute.
The studentships will start in September this
year.
Professor Glenn Burgess, Pro-Vice-Chancellor
for Learning and Teaching, said: “The University’s PhD scholarship
programme is an opportunity to reward high-calibre candidates with
a very generous funding package.
“The scholarships will allow those who were
thinking of further study but perhaps were unsure of the financial
support, an opportunity to pursue PhD research under the
supervision of leading researchers.”
The closing date for applications is 2
March.
