Study Advice Service
The Study Advice Service provides advice and guidance to
students on:
- Study Skills
- Academic writing
The Study Advice Service, offers free, confidential, one-to-one
support Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm during semester. Based
in Room C16a, first floor of College House, the service is open to
full and part-time students at every level of study. To book, go
to: https://myadmin.hull.ac.uk/ and
log-in with your campus user-id and password.
Learning resources, including study advice
leaflets to download, online courses in e-Bridge, podcasts,
postgraduate information and quizzes, are also available from the
Study Advice Service website (www.hull.ac.uk/studyadvice
).
Off-site support is available five days a week
during semester, by email, telephone and Skype. (See below for
booking details.)
Mathematics support (including statistics) is
offered from Monday to Thursday via Skype and through telephone

Is there any help available during the holidays?
Yes. One to one and online support is available during the
holidays.
How long does an appointment last?
One-to-one appointments usually last for 30 minutes.
What about group appointments?
You can come along with a friend or as part of a small group.
Just let us know in advance so that we can arrange an
alternative venue.
What should I bring with me?
Make sure you bring with you any material relevant to your
enquiry. For example, if you are working on an assignment, bring
the work you have done so far, your module handbook and, if
possible, style/referencing guidelines.
