Biomedical Sciences

The main focus of activities is fundamental investigations of cellular processes involved in metabolism (in particular lipid metabolism) and energy transduction in health and disease.

Biological Sciences at Hull has been a recognised centre of excellence in lipid metabolism over the past two decades. With the appointment of staff with biomedical interests, recent emphasis has created new and growing research areas including applications to human disease.
