The Department of Biological Sciences mixes tradition with innovation. We’ve been teaching since 1928 and have developed a strong international reputation in Biomedical Sciences, Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Fisheries.
Our work continues to be on the cutting edge and is supported by a recent £3m investment programme.
We offer a thriving, modern place to study the breadth of biology, zoology and marine and freshwater biology with some of the best research aquaria in Europe and recently refurbished teaching and research facilities.
