DCDS'15 Dependable Systems organises session at DCDS'15 HRH Duke of York KG visits the Department of Computer Science His Royal Highness The Duke of York KG visited the Department of Computer Science today, 1st October, to see some of the technologies that Humber UTC (University Training College) students can learn more about when it opens its doors in September 2015. The research into medical systems is concerned with the development of novel solutions for the planning and delivery of treatment as well as the training of the clinicians. This applied research is underpinned by core computer science research in the areas of virtual environments and image processing. Project Areas Amblyopia Anatomy Cardiology Orthopaedics Radiology Vascular Impact The VERT project has been spun out into Vertual Ltd and developed into a product. Immersive VERT is currently used by 10 universities and the Department of Health recently funded a rollout to over 40 sites in England.
