The Three Thing Game event is a success

The 'Three Thing Game' was a
concept that arose from an exercise called 'Destruction Golf' (a
number of students had a week to create a game). A 24 hour
development session followed that was covered by the
media.
This semester (March 2012), 33
teams (111 students) 'bid' via an auction for 'three
things' which they based their games upon. Those 'things' were all
unique and given at random (with some of the words referecned
to the Olympics or Golden Jubilee!) When put together,
they produced phrases such as...
- 'Biscuit Ghost Werewolf'
- 'Banana Farmyard Carnage'
- 'Bicycle Ocean Missile'
- 'Boy Contracption High Jump'
Once again, the teams had 24 hours
to complete there games. Most made it to the end and produced some
good results.
Members of staff and
Sony representatives were on hand to be
judges. Three prizes were awarded to the top three
teams, along with a "People’s Choice” award that was judged by the
teams themselves. Videos of the games can be viewed
via YouTube.com and typing in "threethinggamemarch2012.
