Geography at Hull is internationally recognised for its excellence in both teaching and research, reflected in high scores in the National Student Survey and the Research Assessment Exercise.

The Department offers a range of attractive undergraduate and postgraduate courses. We are based in the Cohen Building, a Grade 2 listed building. Hull and its surrounding region offer superb opportunities for geographical study, from the Yorkshire coast and moors, to the various regeneration initiatives around the city and its rural hinterland. Fieldwork is an integral part of our teaching.

The department and the university share a strong reputation for providing a friendly and supportive learning environment. We are a medium-sized department, with more than 20 academic teaching staff, over 300 undergraduates, and a vibrant postgraduate community of masters and PhD students.

Come and visit us to see why our visitors are so impressed by the Hull campus and the facilities it offers.
