One Hull of a Rainforest at the University

As part of the ongoing One Hull of a Rainforest initiative for Primary Schools (http://www.onehullofarainforest.co.uk/), on Friday 14th January 2011 66 students and teachers from 22 Primary schools attended a Congress at the University of Hull.

After a welcome from University Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. John Leach, OHoaR organisers summarised the excellent progress made towards the projects objective of raising £250,000 to purchase and protect 100 hectares of land which lie adjacent to the Maquipucuna reserve in Ecuador. They also outlined the plans for the project for the spring and summer terms of 2011.

Students also participated in a number of activities laid on by University staff from Geography, Computer Science and HUBS / CASS. The resources for these activities (and more!) can be downloaded and used from the menu below.
