Ferens Education Trust
New projects aimed at raising primary and
secondary pupils’ interest in STEM subjects are due to begin
development this academic year. Immersive technology will be used
both in the HIVEs 3D auditorium and out in schools themselves
to support the teaching of curriculum areas. These include: shape,
space and measure; nets, volumes and areas; and 2d and 3d
coordinate systems, among other themes. Bookings are being taken
for workshops either at the University, or for a visit out to the
school. Please contact HIVE should you be interested in your school
getting involved. There is no charge for the workshop.
