Open Days
UCAS Open Days
When you apply through UCAS to study in the department, we
make an offer to you and invite you to an Open day. This gives you
an opportunity to get a feel for the University and
department. In the morning a number of central University
Admissions activities begin from 9.00 am. These include a welcome
talk, information and advice stands and tours of the student
accommodation at the Lawns. The departmental activities begin at
12.15 with a buffet lunch to allow you to talk to staff and
students and to give you a chance to ask any questions.
Parents and friends are very welcome to attend. The Open day
includes a presentation, research demonstrations and a tour of the
department and university campus. It finishes with tea at 3.45 pm.
You will not be required to undergo an interview.
