Research
We are proud of our strong and consistent research record.
The extensive research produced by our team of specialist
researchers, scientists and clinicians led to an outstanding result
in the Research Assessment Exercise in 2008. 80% of our research
was rated of international standard, with 35% rated as ‘world
leading’ or ‘internationally excellent.’
We also understand the importance of sharing our research. The
earlier our research is dispersed, the quicker we can make a
difference.
That’s why our most current research is taught as part of our
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, delivered by experts in
their field. We also regularly publish high quality research papers
and present at conferences around the world.
Our research is divided into three main areas:
Our diverse research has a wide range of applications in areas
such as psychiatry, pharmacology, psychiatry, engineering, and
computer science. Through our research, we’ve also helped sufferers
of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and social communication
disorders.
