First-year students can choose to live in University owned,
managed or arranged properties - many continuing students also
choose to stay in our residencies.
More for your money
Here in Hull we have some of the lowest housing costs and rents
in the country, meaning your money will go a lot further.
We recognise that your time here is about more than just your
lectures. The experience of where you live, and who you live with,
can be just as important as any other part of university life – and
often the most memorable.

through the process of finding a suitable home. And 50 members
of pastoral staff are on hand in various residential and
non-residential roles to make sure your stay is safe,
secure and happy. They also provide discreet support for
students if they need pratical or emotional help.
Our accommodation guarantee
If you're an unaccompanied new student and apply for University
residence by 1 September, you're guaranteed an offer of a place in
one of our owned, managed or directed properties. And whether
a first-year or continuing student, you can choose
University-owned, managed, or arranged accommodation. We provide
for full-time registered students on a contract basis, not
part-time, short-term or hotel-type accommodation. Read the University's
