About us

The AskHU Team is your first point of contact for student services.

Since 2011 the team have proudly been delivering a broad range of services both face to face and online to a wide range of students and visitors from across the world.

Our Promise

When contacting or visiting AskHU we will:

  • Listen, treating you with respect, honesty and fairness
  • Ensure accessibility for all
  • Ensure our team uses plain language and are suitably skilled and knowledgeable
  • Ensure the information we provide is accurate and up to date
  • Arrange a time and a place to discuss your enquiry in private if required
  • Aim to answer your enquiry at first point of contact
  • When we have to refer an enquiry explain why and inform you of what to expect next
  • When we get it wrong we will say so, apologise and do all we can to put things right 

Our Service Standards

  • Operate during advertised opening times
  • Aim to see you within 5 minutes of arrival
  • Aim to respond to email within 24 hours of receipt weekdays, 48 hours at weekends.
  • Aim to answer your telephone call within 5 rings
  • Respond to answerphone messages the same day during office hours

  • We have quick and easy to complete surveys running throughout the year on our feedback kiosks in the AskHU student service centre.
