CAREERS IN SPORT: Enhance your application skills
Do you have the skills to make a good application which stands out from the competition? Do you know precisely what an employer is looking for from your application?

This event will help you to answer those all important questions about applications and will give you a chance to hear from recruiters how you can make your application stand out for the right reasons.  We are inviting representatives to attend from a range of sporting recruiters including the FA, the RFU, the Tigers Trust, Sports Marketing professionals, professional sports clubs(football and rugby), Sports Journalists, and County Sport partnerships, with whom you will have the chance to network… and there’s a free lunch!

Media Alumni Day 

Interested in working in Film, TV, Radio or Journalism, then join us for Media Alumni Day for talks and workshops by people who studied at the University of Hull and have gone on to forge successful careers in the media. 

The great line-up of speakers and contributors have volunteered their time to share their experiences and insights with us, and as well as having the chance to hear their stories, there will also be the opportunity to network and participate in smaller group workshops on more specific subjects such as pitching your journalistic work, applying for funding for your independent film & one-on-one careers talks. You can usually book a place up to 3 hours before the event, subject to availability.
  • Please note that you have to register separately for a careers account - you do not automatically register when you register as a student
  • Events may be cancelled if insufficient places booked and, in the event of cancellation, we will only inform those, who have booked a place.
  • Please cancel your place or let us know if you can no longer attend. Regular failures to attend and to cancel your attendance may lead to your exclusion from future events.
  • Let us know in advance if, due to a disability, you require us to make any necessary adjustments for you to attend.
  • Most events are restricted to University of Hull students and alumni. Students of any year and postgraduates are welcome to attend.
