Looking for a job?

Find your next job or placement from among the hundreds advertised by the University Careers Service. As we don't charge employers to advertise, we handle a vast number and range of opportunities - some local, some UK- wide and some overseas. 

• Some jobs start soon, whilst others can start as many as 12 months after they are advertised, so don't leave it until the last minute.
• Placements are often advertised several months in advance of the start date, so if you are looking for a summer placement, start looking from January onwards.
• To view full details, you will need to have registered with us - it is very quick and easy to register, though.
• Make a note of your log in details as you will need them to access vacancies and other Careers services in the future. 
• Keep checking as new vacancies arrive daily.

Where else can I look for jobs?

There are thousands of job websites and you can spend ages trawling through vacancies, without finding something suitable, so we have put together some suggestions of where else to search for jobs and placements: 

• For graduate jobs and placements with larger companies and employers (Target Jobs, Prospects etc) - Graduate job websites 

Don't forget - many smaller employers may not advertise as widely, but still have excellent opportunities to offer, and there may be less competition.

• For websites relating to specific types of jobs  (such as the CIPD and Personnel Today for Human Resources) - Types of jobs 
• Limited to a location?  Regional job websites and graduate initiatives - Jobs by region

• Consider also using professional networking sites, such as Linked in for jobs and placements, and to network with employers- Linked In

Don't forget  - not all opportunities are advertised. Network, consider speculative approaches and ask family and friends to access the hidden job market.
