Applying to Study Last updated on 4/25/2016 Print this page Potential students need to consult the Postgraduate Prospectus and follow the Admissions guidelines. Dependent upon the discipline, research students may be joining an existing project or may develop a new, individual, plan. In the case of the latter, you will also need to submit a research proposal and some advice on preparing a research proposal is available here. However, you should expect to discuss and adapt your proposal as part of the process of applying. Students are accepted by, and register with, a subject-based department but the central coordination and record keeping are carried out by the Graduate School. Our students come from more than 100 countries, and you can get expert advice on pastoral and cultural matters for non-UK students from our International Office. You may also need to consult the Tier 4 Visa Support Unit if you require a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies or other Tier 4 documents or advice.
