A warm welcome to all research students

As a department, the main focus of the Graduate School is research students and we handle all of your central administration needs such as CAS number requests, status letters, student cards, thesis submissions etc. Basically, we cover the role that is fulfilled by Student Administrative Services for undergraduate and taught masters students. We're responsible for a host of other things as well and you can discover more about these by browsing our website.

As a building, we provide facilities for all postgraduate students, including the following:

1. Sixty open-access, fully networked computers, with printing facilities
2. WiFi facilites and designated laptop work areas
3. A quiet, study/work area
4. A common room with vending machines
5. Lockers for safe storage of personal effects
6. A seminar room, available for booking through the Graduate School Office
