Code of Practice for student accommodation

The following residences at the University are signed up to the UUK/Guild Code of Practice for the management of student housing: The Lawns Halls, Thwaite, Needler and Ferens Halls and Taylor Court.

The Code assists managers and anyone else involved in the management of student accommodation by setting out the main elements of good management practice which include health and safety, maintenance and repair and relationships between managers and residents.

Student houses owned and manged by the University adhere to standards laid down by an accreditation scheme which is run in partnership with the local council.
