Head Leasing

There are about 150 single-rooms places, mainly in flats and houses accommodating 2 to 8 students, located in the student housing area within a mile of the campus, with a typical weekly rent of £39.41 (including water but excluding gas and electricity bills).

All properties are furnished and have central heating. All have separate kitchens, common rooms, and the kitchens are equipped for self-catering, with washing-machines. Premises have alarms, inter-link smoke detectors, and hold current gas and electricity safety certificates. Properties are managed by the staff of the Accommodation office.

Open days for postgraduates (and occasionally a few late-admitted first-year undergraduates) are arranged during August. This enables students to meet, form groups and have Head-Leased accommodation allocated.
