Definitions
Undergraduate students undertake Bachelor
degree, Diploma programmes, BA, BSc MChem, MEng, MPhys, LLB,
MPhysGeog, BMus, MPharm.
Postgraduate students undertake any other
Masters programmes, Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma,
or Doctor of Philosophy programme.
Part-time students undertake undergraduate and
postgraduate programmes over a longer time than their full-time
equivalent, short courses, or the University Foundation Award.
Off-Campus students undertake programmes
delivered in various locations away from campus. These can be
delivered by the University, and/or by another institution
accredited to deliver University of Hull programmes.
UK Students* are those who hold EU (including
UK) nationality and have resided in the UK for 3 years immediately
prior to start of study programme.
UK nationals who are living overseas in a
temporary capacity may also qualify. However, students from
Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle
of Man may have specific student finance provision and should refer
to the information provided to them here.
NHS, TDA students are UK students on programmes
that attract specific funding, including BA Social Work, PGCE, Dip,
Adv Dip, or BSc Nursing, BSc Biomedical Science.
EU Students* are those who hold EU nationality
who have not resided in the UK for 3 years immediately prior to
start of study programme.
International Students* are those assessed by UoH as
paying international tuition fees.
